Roy was a man defined by a blend of ambition, adventure, and an unshakeable love for his family—which included his beloved grandpuppies.
Roy was a true outdoorsman, you could often find him on the water, sharing a fishing line with dear friends, or enjoying a round on the local golf course. In his younger years, he embraced the spirit of adventure, traveling globally and often captivating his family with fascinating stories of his time in Europe. He was also a fiercely loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fan, who wore his jersey with pride and embraced the good-natured heckling from his Montreal Canadiens loving family.
In his professional life, Roy climbed the ladder of success with determination, working as a dedicated Food Manager at Towers and later at IGA.
His warmth and generosity extended to his four-legged family members. Meeting him in heaven with wagging tails are his dog Midget, and three grand-puppies: Swish, Penny, and Gunner; who all held a special place at the dinner table, and in his heart. The family would joke that these pups were more beloved than his human grandchildren.
Roy will be missed terribly by all who knew him.
