The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on September 11th, 2025, of Anthony “Tony” Richard of Summerside aged 80 years old.  Tony was born in Summerside to his late parents Augustine and Bella (Arsenault) Richard. Beloved husband of the late Sandra McCourt and loving father of Jason (Renee) and Shaun.  Stepfather to Kim McCourt(Peter), Jeff McCourt (Grace), Michelle McCourt, and Tammy (Ryan) Kerwin.

Also lovingly remembered by 2 grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Eunice (Roch) Vachon of Quebec City, Louis (Donald) of Moncton, Roger (Louise) of Summerside, David (Lori) of MacKenzie BC, Julien (Gloria) of Markham ON, Bernice (Lawrence) DesRoches of Miscouche, Paul (Julie) of Calgary, Janet (Wayne) Quigley of Augustine Cove, and George of Prince George BC.

Predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Emmanuel.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Wednesday September 17th, 2025, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 am.  Interment to follow the mass at St. Paul’s Cemetery.
