Heartfelt thanks to Dad’s caregivers and nurses over the past 2 years at Whisperwood Villa. Thank you for your compassion, care and love given to him. We appreciate it.

Our Dad, Husband, and Grandfather was a man of great love for his family, extended family and friends, and of a quiet faith. Ralph was a Brethren in The True Brother’s Masonic Lodge, Crapaud, and a member of North Tryon Presbyterian Church, serving as their unofficial greeter and hugger.

Dad was a jack of all trades, which served him well when he and Mom purchased an almost century-old house in North Tryon, so they could bring their family “home”, after many years in Toronto. His skills also came in handy for the repair and upkeep of the camp he and Mom established on Palfrey Lake, McAdam, NB. They both put their hearts, as well as blood, sweat and tears into making it a special place for future generations to enjoy. Dad also was ready to lend his talents to anyone who needed help.

After retirement, Dad was famous for his “stewps” (stew\soup), which he especially liked to share with his grandchildren, or anyone else who came to the door. He and Mom welcomed visits from family and friends. If you weren’t a friend when you came in the door, you were when you left. Dad loved to stay connected by phone, calling to check in and have a chat, or letting someone know when the curling was on, or the Maple Leafs were playing. Dad liked to find connections when meeting new people, and used his “ear wiggle” trick to break the ice or get a giggle.

Dad had the best smile; a quick wit, and a teasing nature that put a mischievous sparkle in his baby blues that will be missed.

But, we’re thankful that Dad is now at peace and home with Mom.

We love you. Until we meet again xo
