The death occurred peacefully at South Shore Villa, Crapaud, PEI, on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 of Velma Frances Blacquiere (Poirier) of Summerside, aged 93 years.  Velma was born in Miscouche to her late parents William and Celina (DesRoches) Perry.  Beloved wife of the late Ralph Blacquiere and loving mother of Debi Blacquiere (Dave), Carol Harris, Richard (Catherine), Robert and Jason (Shelley).

Also lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren Katie (and spouse), Mike, Paige, Marshall, Clark, Harrison, Luke, Hayden, Lincoln, Reghan, Andie and 1 great-granddaughter Rylee.

Predeceased by her son in-law Randy Harris, sisters Ethel, Norma, Beatrice and brother Jimmy.

Velma was a proud lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.  A private family service will be held.  Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Donations in Velma’s memory can be made directly to the Alzheimer’s Society.
