Anne, Jim, Kim and families. Sincere condolences on the recent passing of your Mom. I spent some time at the Wooder household in high school, and Mrs. Wooder always looked after the boys when they dropped in. She was a great lady and was certainly proud of her kids. RIP Mrs. Wooder.

Anne, Jim, Kim and kin: I am saddened to hear of Aunt Joan's passing. I'm reflecting on a story shared. Aunt Joan spoke often of carrying Jesus in her pocket. That she would never be alone. Jesus got there during Aunt Joan's childhood. A priest would see she arrived home safely each day after piano and song. One day the priest left for another congregation. Joan was sad of this. That's when the priest put Jesus in Aunt Joan's pocket, to keep her safe. Aunt Joan always teared when she shared the story. Thank you Aunt Joan for being an Angel to me. For looking after me when I was a wee little. You taught me quiet time and prayer. Wishing you all good things in Heaven. Peace and rest. Comfort in knowing you are home with Jesus. Sweet dreams. Blessed Be. Love Carla Jane

Sad to hear of Joan's passing, but so happy to have known her all these years. We often prayed together and I had the joy of her joining our Bible study at Andrews for the past 3 years. I loved hearing all her stories of living on a military base and swimming across the Halifax harbour. Joan and Frank were wonderful people to work for as they kept their home in terrific shape and provided me with tons of work all year long. Joan always made sure I sat for lunch with her and ate either what she provided for me, or whatever she could add to what I had brought from home. I want to pass on my condolences to Anne, Jim, and Kim. I know she loved you and your families with all her heart. May the Lord comfort you in your time of mourning, and bless you in the years ahead. Your friend, Steve (the Butler) Trowsdale.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
