The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Monday August 25th, 2025, of Earl Joseph Stanfield of Kensington and formerly of Ontario, aged 66 years. Earl was born in Ontario to his late parents, Donald and Eleanor (Chaisson). 

Beloved husband of Jodi (Gathercole) and loving father of Christine (Bobby); Angela (Troy); Garret (Jessica); Michelle and Nikki (Todd). Loving "Papa" to 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Survived by his chosen brother, Shawn Kerry (Cheryl) and brother-in-law, Ed Gathercole (Mikki).

Earl's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Das for her compassion and care shown to Earl.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PE, until Saturday, August 30th then to St James Catholic Church, Summerfield, PEI, for a funeral mass at 1:00 pm 

**A private family committal service will occur at a later date**
