Marilyn (Murray) Campbell
1968 - 2025
Surrounded by her loved ones, Marilyn’s death occurred peacefully at the
Prince County Hospital on July 31st, 2025.
Marilyn’s soul shined bright, and she carried a smile that lit up each and every
room. Marilyn cherished both her family, and her friends. She loved deeply,
and always emphasized how blessed she was to have the family and friends
that she did. Marilyn’s family was the heart of her existence, and she took
pride in the family that she was a part of.
Marilyn was born on April 5th, 1968, in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, to
Helen (née Sherry) and Arnold Murray. She was the beloved wife of John
Campbell, and the loving mother of Ryan and Carly Campbell.
Survived by her siblings; Allan (Penny), Linda (Reid) Richardson, Leona (Paul)
Murphy, Dale (Earlene), Carl (Cindy), and Mary Ellen (Mike); her husband,
John; and her children, Ryan and Carly. Predeceased by her parents, Helen and
Arnold Murray; brother Eric (Jake) Murray; nephews Joseph and Mark
Murray; in-laws, Bob and Rowena Campbell; and family-friend Mary Lynn
Muttart.
Marilyn will rest at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside,
where visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 2:00pm - 5:00pm. A
funeral service will then be held at St. Peter’s Parish, 3394 North Carleton
Road, Seven Mile Bay, on Monday, August 4th at 10:30am. Following the
service, Marilyn will be laid to rest at the St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery.
Donations in Marilyn’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society,
Prince County Hospital, St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery Fund, or to the
PEI/Canadian Mental Health Association; as per Marilyn’s wishes.
