Helen Janice Carr Obituary

 


Heaven gained a very special angel on Tuesday June 24, 2025 with the passing of Helen Janice Carr (Howatt) aged 87 at the Summerset Manor, Summerside. Formerly of Tryon, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Delbert (deceased - July 23, 2023). 


 


Also, predeceased by her parents; Lloyd and Penzie Howatt, sisters Grace Harvey (Lloyd), Doreen Matheson, Ruthie MacDonald and brother Jimmy Howatt.


 


Survived by her loving daughter Debbie, son-in-law Mervin, her grandson Jason and great-grandson Jagar MacDonald. Helen is also survived by her sisters Jessie MacPhail (Neil - deceased) and Heather (Wendell) MacDonald and brother-in-law Myron Matheson. 


 


Aunt Helen is lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, special friends and neighbours. Special thanks to niece Betty Howatt Ferguson and her husband Jim and dear family friend Vicki Joy Francis for their on-going love and support. 


Thanks to the caring staff at the Summerset Manor, the Prince County Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.


 


Visitation from 2pm until time of service and funeral service at 3pm in the South Shore United Church, Tryon on Sunday, June 29th, 2025. Committal service will follow immediately after the service. 


 


An audio of the funeral service will be available on the funeral home website at a later date.


 


In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen can be made on-line through the South Shore United Church, Tryon.
