With timely visits from family and thereafter, surrounded by caring staff members of the Summerset Manor, Andrew Joseph Gallant died peacefully on Friday, June 20th, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on October 28th, 1937. He was the son of the late Theodore and Denise (nee Arsenault) Gallant.

He is survived by his son Donald Gallant (Karen, predeceased) and his daughter Cathy Smith (Carl) of Moncton, along with four grandchildren Natasha Goodwin (Derek), Christopher Gallant, Logan Smith and Erica Smith. Great Grandchildren Kenadi Goodwin, Kaleb Goodwin, and Athena Smith, also all from Moncton NB.

Andrew was beloved by his sisters and brothers, Sophie Richard, Theresa Bonnanfant, Peter, Martin, and Augustin. Andrew was predeceased by his parents and by his sisters Julie Anne Arsenault, Marie Anne Gallant, and brothers Antony, Arthur, and Joe Gallant.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside PEI until Thursday, June 26th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Internment to take place in  People’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Thursday from 2:00 pm until time of service.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations in Andrew’s memory may be madedirectly to the Canadian Cancer Society.
