The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I on Monday June 16th, 2025 of Gerald Leigh Barnett, aged 83 years. Known locally as “Santa Claus” to many. Born in Summerside to the late Arthur and Vera (Simmons) Barnett. 

Beloved husband of Jocelyne Barnett, loving father of Kimberley and Sophie Barnett and grandfather of Kaela Barnett. 

By personal request, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. 

Donations in Leigh’s name can be left to the Belmont Baptist Church.
