Michael Thomas Nesbitt
April 10, 1958 - June 12, 2025
Sadly, Michael passed suddenly, however peacefully in Central Bedeque, PE, on June 12, 2025. He lived in Miscouche also.
He left to mourn, his siblings Debra Houston (David), James Nesbitt, Laurie Jordan, all of Winnipeg, MB. He was uncle to 4 nieces, 2 nephews and a grand niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Helen (Waite) Nesbitt.
Many of his cousins and friends live coast to coast in Canada. We will all miss his lively conversations.
A special thank you to our Aunt Eileen Waite, cousins Mary (Robert) Gallant, Michael (Sue) Waite and Susan (Dana) Chappell for making our brother "at home" when he chose to live in PE.
Michael embraced his uniqueness, curiousity, dry humor and desire for learning. He was passionate about preserving the environment, was an avid cyclist, a talented photographer, enjoyed singing in groups and performing in theatre productions. Exploring the cosmos with the Athena Community Astronomy Club, was his favorite pastime.
Michael was raised in a military career family; born in ON, moved to bases in PE, NL, QC and MB. He was a graduate of John Taylor Collegiate, University of Manitoba, B.Ed. and attended Universite de Moncton, French Immersion studies.
He was an adventurous Scout and Army Reserve cadet.
His diverse career included a secondary school teaching position, tutoring, then as a freelance media writer, an advertising graphics assistant and a position with Cavendish Farms. He worked many years with Parks Canada, including as a tour guide at Green Gables Heritage Place.
Friends are invited to join his relatives, June 25th, 2025 at the Bedeque United Church Hall, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. to share your memories of Michael with others. Location @ 1230 Callbeck Rd.
