The death occurred peacefully, with her loving husband by her side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Sunday, June 15th, 2025 of Florence (Spencer) Murphy of Summerside, aged 83 years. Florence was born in Port Aux Basques, Newfoundland to the late James and Naomi (nee Coffin) Spencer. 

Beloved wife of Royden "Sonny" Murphy and loving mother of Janice (John) Montgomery, Cheryl (Scott) MacKay and Kirk (Serita) Murphy. Also lovingly remembered by grandchildren Melissa Montgomery, Allison (Travis) Timmons, Matthew Montgomery, Colin (Kaitlynn) MacKay, Reilly MacKay (Jacob Dinis), Charlize Murphy and Jaren Murphy, great grandchildren Anderson, Emery and Elliot.

Survived by her sister Mary (Tom) Coleman, sisters in-law Elsie Spencer and Mabel Spencer, brothers and sisters in-law Sandra (David) Howard, Waldo (Tina) Murphy and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brothers and sister James Spencer, Jean (Art) Kettle and David Spencer, brothers and sister in-law Trudy (Stan) Marshall and Tom Murphy. 

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, June 19th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am.  Interment to take place in the Bideford United Cemetery. Donations in Florence's memory can be made directly to the PCH Foundation or Heart and Stroke Foundation.  No visitation by personal request.
