
Obituary of Ross Alfred Hindle
The death occurred suddenly Monday, June 9th, 2025, of Ross Alfred Hindle of Summerside aged 61 years. Ross was born in Lakeside, Nova Scotia to his late parents, Arthur and Peggy (nee Knott) Hindle. Beloved husband of Kathryn (North) Hindle and loving father of Jessica (Ryan) Clark, Vanessa (Joey) Hindle and Earle (Ryan) Clarke.
Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Emma (Keera)Clark, Dylan Clark, Aiden Warren, Andre Fisher, Judith Fisher, Maddison Fisher, Sarah-Shane Clarke, Becky (Kevaughn) Smith and great grandchildren Benjamin and Samuel. Ross will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Tom (Sue) Hindle, June (Carl) Hindle, Bill (Judy) Hindle, and Pauline Scoville, as well as brothers-in-law Jim Robichaud and Claude Fraser.
Predeceased by his sisters Ann Robichaud, Carol Fraser, Jean Sullivan, Meg Nicholson, and brother-in-law Ron Nicholson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. A celebration of life will take place at a later date at the Summerside Baptist Church. Donations in Ross’s memory can be made to the Funeral Expense Fund or the Humane Society. No visitation or service by personal request.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
