
Obituary of Sadie Margaret Doyle
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, with her loving family present, on Monday, June 9th, 2025 of Sadie Margaret Doyle of Summerside and formerly of Sherbrooke, P.E.I. aged 85 years. Sadie was born in St. Eleanors to her late parents Thomas Chappell and Hazel (nee Thompson). Beloved wife of the late Edmund Doyle and loving mother of Janet (David) Pineau, Judy (Randy) Waugh, Peggy Doyle, Edmund (Carol) and daughter in-law Debbie Arsenault.
Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christopher and Ryan Pineau, Travis and Colton Waugh, Doyle MacLellan, Angelina MacLellan-Muise, Alyson Gaudet and Jenna Doyle, Patrick, Andrew and Chelsie Doyle and great grandchildren Cooper, Kingston, Jenson and Elsey.
Survived by sisters in-law; Frances Doyle and Jan Chappell.
Predeceased by her husband Edmund, son Steven, grandson Morgan, her parents Tom and Hazel Chappell, brother Carl Chappell, brother in-law Aubrey Doyle and sister in-law Lillian Smith.
Sadie's family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Prince County Hospital for the kindness and compassion shown to Sadie while she was in the hospital.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Visiting hours on Thurday June 12th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral mass on Friday, June 13th at St Paul's Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in the St. Paul's Cemetery immediately after the mass. Reception to follow at St Pauls Parish Center.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
