My condolences to all the family . Ivan and Verna were my neighbors for years , couldnt ask for better people . I remember Ivan always making cookies and Id run over and sit with him and Verna in front of the woodstove . Such special memories for me . RIP Ivan

My dearest uncle Ivan you were the greatest! From the cribbage games to eating raw per watching the Habs win the game, or the many all day fishing trips, or just riding along with you, around town just to ‘check-in’ with nearly the whole township during your days off, and eventually dragging my tail into the recruiting center, you taught me a great deal! To the Richard family, Big hugs to you all! You know, Edmond, Leonard, and Harold may have lost a fishing buddy but Gerald has gained one…. Although if his experiences are anything like mine fishing with Ivan, there’s only one person in the boat with a tooth pick smile and laughing while catching trout and it ain’t Gerald !

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
