It is with great sadness that the family of Martha Jane MacLeod announces her peaceful passing in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on June 6, 2025, at the age of 55.

Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, Martha was a proud air force brat of several Canadian Forces bases throughout her life. She was the beloved daughter Margaret(Peggy) MacLeod and the late Al (Ferg) MacLeod and the cherished sister to Susan MacLeod.

Martha will be lovingly remembered by her chosen family of dear friends who became siblings in spirit:

Stacey McKinnon, Rhonda MacArthur, Cindy Toombs, Marie McNeil, and Betty Mae Williams.

She is also fondly remembered by Dave and Mike McKenna, and the entire McDonalds family, past and present. Her life was blessed by countless cousins and friends —you know who you are.

In honour of Martha’s sense of humour and firm sense of style, she made one final request:

“No pajama bottoms allowed at the service.”

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Thursday June 12th, 2025 where a celabration of Life  will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m  Interment will take place at a later date in the Murray River United Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.  But if Martha was a flower, she’d be a Gerber Daisy.
