The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, P.E.I., on Sunday, June 1, 2025, of Sterling Alfred Enman of South Shore Villa, Crapaud, and formerly of Summerside, aged 90 years.

Sterling was born on January 3, 1935, in Victoria West, P.E.I., to the late Preston and Vera (Sobey) Enman. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Doreen (Cotton) Enman, and his brother, Robert Preston Enman.

He was a loving father to Debbie MacDonald, Alfred (Sharon), Calvin, Craig, Dale (Don) Mader, and Dora (John) Ochsner. Sterling is lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren: Christopher (Megan), Daniel (Sara), Jessica (Colleen), Craig (Sara), Kayla, and Ryan; and by five great-grandchildren: Sophia, Alora, Isabella, Noah, and Oliver.

Sterling loved to travel, play cards, garden, care for animals, and spend time with his family and friends. He provided for his family through his dedicated work and leadership at Pope Motors, Ziebart, and Schurman’s Windows. A lifelong member of the St. Eleanor’s Lions Club, Sterling held a deep commitment to his community.

He was a man who gave wherever help was needed—without hesitation. A man of few words, Sterling spoke volumes through his actions.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, with a viewing at 1:00 p.m. and service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the Victoria West United Cemetery.
