Obituary of Laurence Earl Sudbury Jr.

The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Saturday May 17th, 2025 of Laurence Earl Sudbury Jr. aged 80 years.Laurence was born in Summerside, PEI to the late Laurence Sudbury Sr.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores (Bolaney) Sudbury and loving father of Larry Sudbury III, Beverly (Mark Simpson), John (Christina) Sudbury, Thomas (Jennifer) Sudbury. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Elijah, Noah, Jacob and Malachi. 

Survived by his sister Michelle McDonald. 

Predeceased by his son Michael, sister Valery Sudbury and brother in-law Chuck McDonald.

Larry loved his family, friends, music, and all things Christmas. He treasured his time being Santa at parties, events, and for 14 years at the Country Fair Mall. Being able to bring joy to all at Christmas, or any other time of the year, filled his heart with happiness.

Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside. Visiting hours on Thursday May 22nd, 2025 from 5 - 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or to Santa's Angels charity.
