
Obituary of Alan Wallace Boyle
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 of “Alan” Wallace Boyle of Summerside and formerly of Ellerslie, PEI, age 71 years. Alan was born in Tyne Valley to his late parents, Wallace and Inez Boyle.
Loving father to Christopher (Naomi) Boyle and Angela Boyle.
Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Marissa, Chris (Haley), Cole, Alex and Ben and great grandchildren Kayden, Brayden, Grayson and Harrison.
Survived by the following brothers and sister: Kenny (Jess) of Ontario, Tommy (Myrna) of Ellerslie and sister Ginny Kennedy (Rick) of Summerside and nephews and niece, Micheal and Crystal of Ontario, Bobby and Kelsey of PEI, and Andy and Jason of British Columbia, also his Aunt Carol (Frank) Curley with whom he spent many of his younger years with.
Predeceased by his parents Wallace (2003) and Inez (1995), also grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles.
Alan’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring nurses and doctors at the Prince County Hospital who provided such excellent care to Alan over the past 16 days.
A special thank you to Alan’s family and friends for their love and support shown to us. Your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, PEI until Friday May 9th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Visiting hours prior to service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Interment to take place at the Bideford United Church Cemetery. Donations in Alan’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army or The Lacey House.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
