With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aurele Joseph Richard, aged 60 years, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI, on Monday, April 21st, 2025. Aurele was surrounded by his loving wife and best friend, Sandra (Campbell) and his loving family at the time of his passing.

Aurele was born to his late parents, Eric and Doria Richard, of Cape Egmont. Aurele, Sandra and their precious fur baby, Molly, created their home in Lot 16.

Lovingly remembered by brothers Louis (Colette), Cedric (Mona), Desmond and the following brothers and sisters in law: Olivene Gallant (Blair - deceased), Valerie Heer (Peter), Eileen MacDougall (Ervin), Nelson (Cordellia), Brenda Arsenault (Robert), Barry (Tracy), Fenton (Linda).

Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Eric and Doria, parents-in-law Lawrence and Violet Campbell and brother-in-law, Whylie Campbell.

Aurele will always be remembered and missed by his co-workers at H & R Block.

He was a smart, kind, easy going guy that enjoyed telling a few jokes here and there. He enjoyed watching his favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens and his favorite ball team the Toronto Blue Jays. Aurele enjoyed over 40 years of making memories with his best freind, companion in life and soul mate, Sandra.

Aurele fought an autoimmune disease since he was 38 years old. On bad days he kept going on. Nothing set him back until he got the beast of cancer. He tried so hard to fight that battle but in the end the cancer won after a long hard fight.

Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, PEI. By personal request there will be no visitation. Private burial to occur at a later date.

Donations in Aurele's memory can be made to the Humane Society at https://peihumanesociety.com/ or to a charity of choice.

Rest in Peace Aurele, your fight is now over.
