Margaret "Peggy" Young
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at PCH on April 4, 2025, with her family by her side. Born in Alberton on Dec 21, 1941, to the late Amos & Margaret Ramsay.
Survived by her children Marie (Todd) Myers, Cathy( Peter) Robinson, Michael, and Kenny Arsenault, her 10 cherished grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Survived by her siblings Ken (late Vivian), Eunice (late George), Helen (Preston), Brenda, Claude (Sharon), Eleanor (late Ray), Vicki (Floyd), Barb (John), Marilyn (Reuben) and Pauline.
Pre-deceased by her daughter Tracy, grandson TJ, and stepdaughter Bonita. Brothers Amy, John, Roy and sister Ann.
Peggy loved spending time with her family and sisters at her favorite Moonlight campground.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd. Summerside until Monday April 7th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's cemetery at a later date. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
