
Obituary of Marjorie Jean Ramsay
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday March 10th, 2025 of "Marjorie" Jean (Dumville) Ramsay of Summerside aged 94 years. Marjorie was born in O’Leary, P.E.I. to the late W. Ernest and Eva (Cook) Dumville.
Beloved wife of the late K. Earl Ramsay and loving mother of Carole Yeo, Allan (Genvieve) Dunville, Judy Acorn, stepmother of Gordon (Mary) Ramsay, Heather Arsenault, Marie MacArthur and June (Paul) Howard. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Dale, Chad, Troy, Adam, Sarah, Philip and Catherine, step grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathon, Aaron, Tracey, Scott, Betty, Julie and Stephen, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Survived by her brother in-law Scott Grant.
Predeceased by her first husband Strothard Acorn, brother William "Bill" (Pauline) Dunville, sister Pearl Grant, son Blair (Infancy), great grandson Carter (Infancy), son in-law Ernest Yeo and stepson in-law Keir Arsenault.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. By personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held. A private graveside service will be held in the People's Cemetery, Malpeque, PEI. Memorial donations in Marjorie’s memory can be made directly to the Princetown Church Fund.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
