
Obituary of Benjamin Duguay
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Saturday March 8th, 2025 of Benjamin "Ben" Duguay of Summerside, aged 62 years. Ben was born in Ontario to the late Melvin and Norma (Arsenault) Duguay.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Jim (Benita) Duguay, Marie (Paul) Arsenault, Tammy (Gary) Cheverie and Peter Duguay and Many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sisters Shirley Duguay and Linda Beamish.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Rd Summerside until Wednesday March 12, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. Interment to take place in the St. Phillip and St. Jacques Cemetery, Egmont- Bay, PEI. If so desire, donations in Ben's memory can be made directly to the PEI Lung Association. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 4:00- 6:00 pm.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
