
Obituary of Millie Gaudet
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Thursday March 6, 2025 of Mary Margaret “Millie” Gaudet (Gallant) of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, PEI. Millie was born in Miscouche to the late Edmond and Bernadette (LeClaire) Gallant.
Beloved wife of the late Julian Gaudet and loving mother of Francis (Janice) Gaudet, Donna (Ian) Dennison, Roy (Rosalie Broome). Also lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren Jeffrey, Mathew (Julie), Bethany (Nathan), Scott, Erika, Donna (Brandon), Franki, Nicole and Gillian, 6 great-grandchildren Max, Jaxon, Isaiah, Ty, Soraya, Blakeley and step great grandchildren Dom and Kiefer.
Survived by her brother Albert (Myrna) Gallant and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Paul, sisters Catherine and Louise, brother John and sister-in-Law Yvonne Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday March 11, 2025 then to St. John the Baptist for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the church cemetery.
Donations in Millie’s memory can be made directly to St. John the Baptist Cemetery fund. Visiting hours are on Monday from 5 - 7pm

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
