
Obituary of Ronnie Gaudet
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, PEI on Friday, February 21st, 2025 of Ronald “Ronnie” Gaudet of Summerside aged 81 years. Ronnie was born in Leoville PE, to the late Peter and Josephine (Arsenault) Gaudet.
Beloved husband of Olivine (Paugh) Gaudet.
Survived by his sister Julia Enman and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Freddie (Geraldine and Edna) Johnny (Maria), Bobby and brother in-law Bob Wood.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd, Summerside until Wednesday February 26th, 2025 where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery at a late date. Donations in Ronnie’s memory can be made directly to the PEI humane Society. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
