
Obituary of Catherine Anne Woodland
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on February 15, 2025 of Catherine “Anne”Woodland , in her 87th year of Summerside, formally of Indian River, PEI. Born February 02, 1938 in Loanhead, Scotland.
Wife of the late Irwin Woodland. Beloved mother of Billy (Lousie), Lynn (Barry), and Wayne (Kathy). Cherished grandmother to Paul (Mary) Hanchard, Katherine (Shane) MacLennan, Elizabeth (Will)
Norcott, Steven Woodland, Alex Wall and Laura (Nick) Woodland. Great grandmother to Lexi, Robyn, Aiden, Scottie, Calvin & Lorraine. Sister in law to Anne Orr. Also survived by nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents William & Nancy, sisters Margaret and Hannah, brother William, and infant son Brian.
Born in Loanhead Scotland, Anne moved to Canada in 1960 with her family and spent many years returning to Scotland where she enjoyed her time with family and friends. Anne spent 20 years employed at the Met in Summerside. She will be remembered by her love of animals, shopping, travelling and spending time with her dog Hamish.
The family would like to thank the nurses of the Medical Ward at the Prince County hospital as well as Homecare Staff. Special thanks to Gloria for her years of friendship and caring.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
