Funeral service will be held on Thursday June 5th, 2025 in the funeral home Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
The death occurred peacefully with family by his side at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, of Ray Dionne of North Granville and formally of Summerside, P.E.I, aged 103 years. Ray was born in Radville, Saskatchewan, to the late Ernest and Edmee (nee Dandenault) Dionne.
Beloved husband of 64 years to the late Ina Dionne and loving father of Brian (Merry), Richard (Theresa), and Michelle. Also lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren Cayla (Justin), Jimmy, Gary (Emily), Michael (Alex), and Keira, as well as eight great-grandchildren Randi, Jake, Graham, Lila, Marian, Fay, Owen and Miles. Survived by sister-in-law Shirley Clow and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his brothers and sisters Arthur (Annette), Alice, Lee (Jean), Jean (Arnold), Laura (Bill), Leah (Nick) and Eva (Don).
Ray volunteered with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and served from 1940 (volunteering to go overseas in 1942 to England) and served there until 1946.
Ray will always be remembered for his kindness, and love of family (including numerous pets).
Memorial donations in Ray’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
