Obituary of Phelan, Phyllis
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 of Phyllis Phelan (nee Elms) of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 77 years. Phyllis was born in Stone's Cove, Nfld. to the late Cecil and Nellie (nee Hatch) Elms.
Beloved wife of the late Leslie Phelan and loving mother of Duane Phelan (Mary) and Paul Lischynski. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren Joseph Phelan, Nichole and Nathalie Lischynski and Hope Reeves, great grandchildren Amanda, Hunter, Leslie and Evelyn.
Survived by her brothers Jordan (Viola) Elms, Brian (Ruth) Elms and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her great granddaughter Violet Caissie and by her first husband David A. Lischynski.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private visiting hours will be held. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Phyllis memory can be made directly to the Prince County Hospital Foundation.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
