Obituary of Wedge, Margaret Clarissa

The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, February 11th, 2021 of Margaret Clarissa (nee Oldford) Wedge, aged 95 years. Margaret was born in Elliston Nfld. to the late Hubert and Lilian (nee Dyke) Oldford. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Clifford Wedge and loving mother of David (Barb), Janet (Wendell) Grady, Lloyd (Elizabeth), Clarence (Muriel), Keith, Roger (Debbie), Betty (Reg) Nicholson and Owen (Melinda). Also lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren, 25 great grand children and 7 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of the Oldford family. Predeceased by her son Michael (infancy), brothers and sisters Walter (Kate), Lester (Mildred) and Fred (Sara), Hazel (Milton) Coles, Mercedas (Greg) White and Elizabeth Oldford, Lee died at birth and Llewellyn age 2 years, grandson David and granddaughter Crystal. Margaret's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Wedgewood Manor who treated her like family, the staff all called her Granny Queen Margaret. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid -19 restrictions a private funeral mass will be held. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery at later date.
