Obituary of Collier, Rita

With broken hearts the family of the late Rita Collier announce her passing at Prince County Hospital in Summerside, PE on March 30, 2021 at the age of 67. Leaving to mourn her husband of 43 years Frank and their precious puppy Lucky. Her daughters Phoebe in Cape Breton, NS, and Serena (Michael) in Goose Bay, Labrador. Her two grandchildren, Colby (Des) in Winnipeg, MB and Chloe in Goose Bay, Labrador. Also her Angel, Shirley Wagner who has been by her side for her last few months. Rita was born in Ship Cove on December 31st,1953 where she lived until she moved with her husband to Summerside, PE in 1995. She made many friends in her 26 years there working at the hotel to her favourite place to go, Bingo. Rita had a heart of gold and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed by her McCormack family and all her friends. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Myles (Mae) in Mississauga, Jocelyn in Murray River, Juanita (George) in Glace Bay, Junior in Ship Cove, Laura (Everette) in Flat Bay, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Lorena Benoit, her sisters Stella, Terry, Ramona and Angela. Her brothers Wade and Limbert. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family service will take place at a later date.
