Obituary of Sauve, Alan Joseph
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his late residence on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 of Alan Joseph Sauve of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Ottawa, On., aged 61 years. Alan was born in Summerside to Marjorie and Bob Chester.
Loving father to Tyler (Jacquelynne) Sauve and Joshua (Christina) Currie. Also lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren Thomas, Audrey and Cassius.
Survived by his brothers and sisters Linda (Francis) Gallant, Susan Sauve, Roger, Stephen (Bev), Glenn, Michael (Lori), Victor (Sylvia), Shane, Chris (Rachel), Joan Chester, Alice Chester and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Alan's memory can be made directly to PEI Humane Society.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
