Obituary of Hamill, Frances Theresa
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 of Frances Theresa Hamill of South Shore Villa, Crapaud and formerly of North Carleton, P.E.I., aged 82 years. Frances was born in Detroit, Michigan U.S.A. to the late John and Hannah (nee Foley) Hamill, she moved to P.E.I. on May 27th, 1938 at the age of 9 months old.
Survived by her nieces and nephews Shaun McKenna, Karen McKenna-Bone, Greg McKenna and Diane Fagundes of Ontario, cousins Fulton (Liz) Hamill, Reg (Helena) Hamill, Dorothy Hamill and Catherine Norton.
Predeceased by her sisters Pearl Hamill and Patricia McKenna and her brothers Thomas Hamill and James Hamill.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside where a funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Church, 7 Mile Bay on Saturday, May 29th at 10:00 am by invitation only due to Covid 19 restrictions. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Frances's memory can be made directly to Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
