Obituary of Wilson, Gladys Dorothy Anne
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday June 20th, 2021 of Gladys Dorothy Anne Wilson of Summerside, aged 64 years. Gladys was born in Summerside to her mother the late Doris Pickering and her father the late Stanley Wilson.
Survived by her sister Eva Bernard of Calgary, Alberta and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brothers Wendell Pickering and Elmer Wilson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gladys memory to Community Connections or PCH Foundation Inpatient Mental Health Unit would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to thank all those who have touched Gladys' life with their kindness but would especially like to acknowledge and thank long-time caregiver Carol Baker, the management and staff of Community Connections in Summerside, the staff of the Inpatient Mental Health Unit of the Prince County Hospital, the Community Mental Health Outreach Team in Summerside and Dr. Chris Stewart for the wonderful care they have provided to Gladys over the years.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
