Obituary of O'Brien, Gerald " Bud " Franklin
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 of Gerald 'Bud' Franklin O'Brien of Summerside and formerly of Abrams Village, P.E.I. , aged 66 years. Bud was born on March 2nd , 1943 in O'Leary, P.E.I. to his late parents Gerald & Olive ( nee Arsenault ) O'Brien.
Beloved husband of Theresa ( nee Gallant ) O'Brien and loving father of Debbie O'Brien ( Pete ) of Summerside , Michael ( Cheryl ) of Kingston, Karen ( Gerard ) MacNeill of Miscouche and Kevin ( Dawn ) of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by his step-children Shelley Waite and Tracey Livingstone of Calgary, Ab. and Cynthia Livingstone of Montreal, Que. along with his grandchildren Tristan, Brianna, Olivia, Jackson and Ben.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, January 8th then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in St. Anthony's Church Cemetery, Bloomfield at a later date. Visiting hours on Thursday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Bud's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m. by members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 17, Wellington.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
