Obituary of Gallison, Carl Angus
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Saturday , January 9th , 2010 of Carl Angus Gallison of Summerside, P.E.I. , aged 73 years. Carl was born on March 20th , 1936 in Stanley, N.B., to his late parents Eldon & Margaret Gullison.
Beloved husband of Ann ( nee Stewart ) { Dillon } Gallison and loving father of Chuck ( Celie ) of Suffolk and Peggy ( Al ) of Ottawa, On. Also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Jessie Stewart of Summerside, his step-children Marie ( Roy ) Dillon of New Annan and Peggy ( Stephen ) Manderson of Lot 16, his grandchildren Samantha , Frankie, Zachary & Charlotte, his step-granddaughter Jessica Taylor along with many nieces, nephews and brothers & sisters-in-law. Survived by his brothers Eugene ( Joan ) and Ralph Gullison and his sisters Bertha Drummond and Margaret Gallagher all of N.B..
Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by his son Brenton and his brother-in-law Francis Drummond. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, January 13th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley at a later date. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only ,7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Carls memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I. would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
