Obituary of Cormier, Paul Francis
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday , January 29th, 2010 of Paul Francis Cormier of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Cape Tormentine, N.B., aged 91 years. Paul was born on November 23rd, 1918 in Cape Tormentine, N.B. to his late parents Denis & Ella ( nee Donnel ) Cormier.
Beloved husband of Marcella ( nee Bernard ) Cormier and loving father of Kenneth ( Dianne ) of Meadowbank, P.E.I. & Heather ( Brian ) Patterson of Truro, N.S.. Also lovingly remembered by 5 grandchildren, 1 great grand daughter and several nieces & nephews. Survived by his sister Mary Richard of Stratford, P.E.I., sister-in-law Connie Cormier of Shemoque, N.B. & brother-in-law George Lee of Brockville On..
Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his first wife Myrtle ( nee Somers ) Cormier, brothers Albert, Edgar, Ernest & Dennis and sisters Emma, Ella & Doris in infancy.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley at a later date. Visiting hours on Monday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Paul's memory to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. by members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 5 , Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
