Obituary of Bungay, Irene Frances

The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Friday, February 12th , 2010 of Irene Frances Bungay ( nee Martell ) of Summerside, P.E.I. , aged 73 years. Irene was born on Sept. 15th, 1936 in North Sydney, N.S. to her late parents Fraser & Margaret ( nee Acton ) Martell. Beloved wife of Ken Bungay. Loving mother of Gregory ( Mealine ) of Calgary, AB., Kirk ( Mary Anne ) of Calgary, AB., Karen ( Craig ) Thibault of S'side, P.E.I. and Glenn of Ottawa, ON.. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shea, Megan, Justin & Alex and several nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers & sisters Jean Young, Kay Bieren, Debbie Hopkins, Kenny, Sandy & Kevin Martell all of Halifax, N.S., Lynn MacDonald of Cape Breton, N.S. and Charles Martell of Burlington, ON.. Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by brothers Fraser Jr., Billy & Ian Martell. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, February 16th for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. No visiting hours by personal request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Irene's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
