Obituary of Wedge, Doris Helen
?The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, March 11th , 2010 of Doris Helen Wedge ( nee Arsenault ) of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 78 years. Doris was born on October 1st, 1931, in Egmont Bay, P.E.I. to her late parents Arthur & Melina Arsenault.
Beloved wife of Gerald Wedge and loving mother of Marcia ( Les ) Matheson, Simone ( Robert ) Poirier, Michael, Carol ( Peter ) Stavert, Noella ( Dale ) Nicholson and John ( Shauna ). Also lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Jeff Matheson ( Lorrie Jollimore ), Shaun Matheson ( deceased ), Krista ( Colin ) Ward , Nathan & Isaac Stavert and Lily Nicholson.
Survived by her brothers & sisters Frank ( Annie ) Arsenault, Ivan ( Antoinette ) Arsenault, Janet ( Bruce ) Warriner and Diane ( Duke ) Costain .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, March 15th , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Visiting hours on Saturday evening only, 7 - 9 p.m . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doris' memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
