Obituary of Gallant, Anna Marie
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown , P.E.I. on Wednesday, April 7th, of Anna Marie Gallant of Summerside, aged 86 years. Anna was born on July 24th , 1923 in St. Chrysostome, P.E.I. to her late parents Gilbert & Rosalie ( nee Hashie ) Gallant.
Beloved wife of the late Leo Gallant. Loving mother of Edward ( Pat ) of Miscouche, Tony ( Irene ) of St. Nicholas, Arnold of S'side, Frank ( Judy ) of Miscouche, Melvin ( Joy ) of Darnley, Marie ( Stanley ) Palmer of S'side, Orella ( Byron ) Warren of Niagara Falls, ON., Linda MacArthur of B.C., Nancy of Montreal, Que., Ivan of S'side & Dianne (Gaeton ) Landry of Montreal, Que.. Also lovingly remembered by her 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by the following brothers & sisters: Eddie ( Mary ) of St. Chrysostome, Theresa ( Jack ) McNeill of Halifax, N.S., Orella ( Julien ) Arsenault of Wellington and Johnny ( Doreen ) of S'side.
Besides her husband and parents, Anna was predeceased by her daughter Shirley, 3 children in infancy and brothers Benny, Elzie, Elmer, Cyril & Alyre.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, April 10th , then to St. Philippe & St. Jacques Church in Egmont Bay for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the Church Cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Anna's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
