Obituary of Perry, Charles Leonard Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, April 19th, 2010 of Charles Leonard Joseph Perry of Summerside, P.E.I. , aged 80 years. Charlie was born on March 15th, 1930 in Summerside , P.E.I. to his late parents John B. And Susan ( nee Gallant ) Perry.
Survived by his wife Sheila ( nee Fraser ) Perry and his children : Doug ( Lisa ) of Maine, Rhonda Fraser ( Peter McKenna ) of Lunenburg , N.S., Susie ( Dave Neily ) of S'side, Julie ( Rob Gallant ) of S'side, Caroline ( Ray ) Kennedy of Florida, David ( Kathy ) of New York and Wayne of New York. Also lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers & sisters: Francis of Toronto, On., Nola Walters of Winnipeg, Man., Lil Savoie of Bathurst , N.B., Theresa Gallant, John ( Diane ), Elmer ( Marie ) all of Summerside, Joe of Oromocto, N.B. and Shirley Lefler of Amherst, N.S. .
Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his first wife, Kathy ( nee Despres ) Perry, his brothers Lawrence, Babe and Henry and his sister Marie Harvie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, April 22nd for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m. . Interment to take place at People's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Charlie's memory to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund or the Summerside Boys & Girls Club would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
