Obituary of Gallant, Joseph " Victor "
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, July 15th , 2010 of Joseph 'Victor' Gallant of Summerside and formerly of Tignish, P.E.I. , aged 63 years. Victor was born on February 26th , 1947 in Tignish , P.E.I. to his late parents Edmund J. & Anna ( nee Chaisson ) Gallant.
Beloved father of Bruce Green ( Jen ) and special friend of Myrna Green, all of Summerside. Survived by his brother Freddie of Charlottetown and sisters Lorraine ( Roy ) Gallant of Leoville, Ann Marie ( Barry ) Matthews of S'side and Theresa ( John ) Doucette of Sooke, B.C. Also lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Dolores Gallant of Ajax, On. & Christine Wedge of Miminegash and brother-in-law Dana Collicutt of Alberta.
Besides his parents, Victor was predeceased by his sister Irma Collicutt and brothers Johnny & Stephen Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Sunday, July 18th , then to the Church of the Nazarene, Summerside for funeral service at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside . Visiting hours on Saturday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Victor's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Notre Dame Place, Summerside would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
