Obituary of Keefe, Frederick " Fred " Thomas
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 of Thomas Frederick 'Fred' Keefe of Summerside, aged 77 years. Fred was born on August 7th, 1933 in Mill River , P.E.I. to his late parents Braden & Marjorie ( nee Foley) Keefe.
Beloved husband of Eileen( nee Miller ) Keefe and loving father of Dennis ( Sharon ) of Kingston , ON. & Richard ( Tammy ) of Halifax, N.S.. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren William, Adam, Grace & Ben and several nieces & nephews.
Survived by his brother Ralph ( Phyllis ) of Ottawa, ON and his sister Palma ( Bob ) Dowling of Charlottetown, P.E.I..
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, September 4th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in the Charlottetown Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m..
Memorial donations in Fred's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday evening at 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home by members of Dr. W. E. Callaghan, Council # 2070 Knights of Columbus, Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
