Obituary of Hashie, Elizabeth " Betty " Florence
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, November 28th, 2010 of Elizabeth 'Betty' Florence Hashie ( nee Noonan ) of Summerside, aged 65 years. Betty was born on December 11th, 1944 in Summerside , P.E.I. to her late parents Patrick & Stella ( nee Murphy ) Noonan.
Loving wife of Urban Hashie. Survived by her sisters Patsy Gallant of Summerside, Bernice Gregory of Charlottetown and Annie Noonan of Halifax, N.S. and her brother David Noonan of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by the following brothers & sisters-in-law: Rose ( Gilmore ) Coughlin, Alfred ( Edna ) Hashie, Raymond Hashie all of Summerside, Doreen Hashie of Halifax, N.S. and Joseph Hashie of Edmonton, AB. .
Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brother Gerald
'Boo' Noonan and brothers-in-law John Hashie and Clarence ( Bregitte ) Hashie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, December 1st , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral.
Memorial donations in Betty's memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
