Obituary of Harris, Margaret Mary

The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at the QEII Health Science Center, Halifax, N.S. on Tuesday, March 1st , 2011 of Margaret Mary Harris ( nee MacArthur ) of Summerside, aged 74 years. Margaret was born on September 29th , 1936 in Enmore, P.E.I. to her late parents, Angus and Alice ( nee Luke ) MacArthur. Beloved wife of Donald Harris and also her first husband, the late Leo Cass. Loving mother of Patricia ( Leigh ) Adams of Spring Valley, Michael ( Beverly ) Cass of Margate, Christopher Cass ( Patsi Ellis ) of Rosalyn, AB, David ( Darlene ) Cass of Summerside, Jill ( Craig ) Harris & Gordon Harris of Bracebridge, ON and Peter ( Crystal ) Harris of Summerside. Cherished Nanny to Sheri ( Randy ), Tasha, Melissa ( Kevin ), Alisha ( Steve ), Shea-Lee ( Tyler ), Olivia, Paige and Emma. Step-grandmother to Terry, Tasha and Skyler. Great-grandmother to 5 grandchildren. Loved by sisters and brother : Jean Arsenault of Richmond, Jessie Graham of Alberton , Sylvia ( Keith ) Barrett of Belmont, Willard ( Anne ) MacArthur of Alberta and Goldie MacArthur of Lot 16. Sister-in-law to Eleanor Harris of Summerside and Anna Brimson of Quispamsis, NB. Aunt to numerous nieces & nephews. Besides her first husband and parents, Margaret was predeceased by her parents-in-law Marion & Parvin Cass, sister Marion in infancy, nephews Darcy Milligan & John Arsenault, infant grandson, brothers-in-law John Cass, Clarence MacLeod, Jimmy Harris and Mike Brimson . Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday, March 5th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Margaret's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
