Obituary of Fletcher , R.N., Florence Jane

The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Tuesday, March 29th, 2011 of Florence Jane Fletcher , R.N. ( nee Meek ) of Summerside , P.E.I. in her 103rd year. Florence was born on May 26th ,1908 in Springbrook, P.E.I. to her late parents, Reagh & Winnifred ( nee Marks ) Meek. Beloved wife of the late John Fletcher and loving mother of Jane Gaudet of Summerside and Robert ( Catherine ) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin ( Wendy ) of Brampton, ON. and Rodney ( Rhonda ) of Summerside, 3 great grandchildren Justin, Kayla and Cole and sister-in-law Adele Meek of Stratford. Besides her parents and husband, Florence was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Theresa ( James ) Murphy, Mary ( Eugene ) MacGee, Oliver Meek, Henry ( Elva ) Meek, Dorothy Meek and Pauline Meek, her granddaughter Cindy Fletcher and son-in-law Henry Gaudet. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, April 1st for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Springbrook at a later date. Visiting hours on Thursday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Florence's memory to St. Thomas Church Cemetery Fund, International Children's Memorial Place or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
