Obituary of Gallant , R.N., Jean Dorothy
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 of Dorothy Jean Gallant, R.N. ( nee MacIsaac ) of Summerside , P.E.I. aged 76 years. Jean was born on March 21st, 1935 in Munns Road, P.E.I. to her late parents, Joseph & Lorena ( nee Jarvis ) MacIsaac.
Beloved wife of Leonard Gallant and loving mother of Karen ( Tony ) Wessel of Winnipeg, Stephen ( Erma ) of Summerside, Douglas ( Tara ) of Summerside, Andrew ( Michele ) of Cornwall & Cheryl of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by her sisters & brothers: Shirley ( Harold ) Martin of Summerside, Loretta ( Tom ) Martin of Kensington, Basil ( Darlene ) MacIsaac of Summerside, David ( Ann ) MacIsaac of Enmore and Charles ( Nina ) MacIsaac of Birch Hill.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, April 26th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Monday evening only , 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Jean's memory to the Alzheimers Society or the Spina Bifida Association would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
