Obituary of Benac, Theresa Marie
The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, May 12th , 2011 of Theresa Marie Benac ( nee Sampson ) of Summerside and formerly of Sydney, N.S. , aged 82 years. Theresa was born on May 18th , 1928 in Sydney, N.S. to her late parents James and Sarah ( nee MacNeil ) Sampson.
Beloved wife of the late Charles Benac and loving mother of Charlene Benac of Mississauga , ON. . Survived by her brothers James Sampson and Frank ( Andrea ) Sampson all of Ben Eoin, N.S. and sister-in-law Audrey Sampson of Windsor, ON. .
Besides her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her sister Mary ( Joe ) Sampson , brothers Joseph and John ( Fola ) Sampson and sister-in-law Shirley Sampson.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at St. Paul's Church, Summerside at 10:30 a.m. . Donations in Theresa's memory to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road , Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
