Obituary of Cummings, Wayne Douglas
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, June 18th, 2011 of Wayne Douglas Cummings of Summerside , P.E.I. , aged 50 years. Wayne was born on July 31st, 1960 in Goderich, ON. to his parents Robert 'Bob' Cummings and the late Anne ( nee Langille ) Cummings.
Survived by his step-mother Gwen MacDonald and sisters Karen Chaisson of Waverley, N.S. and Sandy ( Claude ) Marcotte of Kingston, N.S.. Also lovingly remembered by his nieces & nephews; Sarah, Ben. Ashley-Ann & Corey and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his mother , Wayne was predeceased by his brother-in-law Derek Chaisson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, June 22nd, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Memorial donations in Wayne's memory to Community Connections or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 10:30 until time of service.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
