Obituary of Bent, Katharina
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, July 25th , 2011 of Katharina Bent ( nee Litzlbauer ) of Summerside , P.E.I. aged 94 years. Katharina was born on February 12th , 1917 in Ried, Austria to her late parents Georg and Aloisia ( nee Petershofer ) Litzlbauer.
Beloved wife of the late Percy Bent and loving mother of Eric ( Arlene ) of Mt. Uniacke , N.S. and Sherry Wright of Middleton. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ryan ( Lynn ) Wright of Middleton and Jean and Sandra Wright of Halifax, N.S. , her sister-in-law Karney Wilson of Steam Mill , N.S. and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Katharina was predeceased by brother Karl and sisters Mitzi and Luisa all formerly of Austria, her son-in-law Wyman Wright and the following brothers and sisters-in-law : Ken and Bernice Stronach , Jack and Marguerite Glydon, Arthur and Audrey Jefferson , Basil Wilson and Joan Povolo .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, July 29th for a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Katharina's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. No visiting hours by personal request.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
