Obituary of Anderson, Kathleen " Toddie " May
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, August 4th , 2011 of Kathleen 'Toddie' May Anderson ( nee Giberson ) of Plaster Rock, N.B. , aged 95 years. Toddie was born on June 20th , 1916 in Plaster Rock , N.B. to her late parents Norman and Amy ( nee Sisson ) Giberson.
Beloved wife of the late Burton Anderson and loving mother of Rob ( Marlene ) of Summerside and Randy ( Debbie ) of Winnipeg, Man. . Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special nephews Rick ( Connie ) and Bill ( Nicky ) all of Plaster Rock, N.B. and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Survived by her loving sister Lela Haddad of Plaster Rock, N.B. .
Besides her husband and parents, Toddie was predeceased by her son Norm.
Cremation has taken place and by personal request there will be no visiting hours or funeral service held on P.E.I.. A graveside committal will take place in Plaster Rock, N.B. at a later date. Memorial donations in Toddie's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside , P.E.I. , C1N 5T4.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
